Take Me Higher

A former (excellent) student of mine, Ryan, took me up flying in his club plane. We flew around Charlevoix and other parts of northern Michigan. It was a lot of fun as I got to hang out with Ryan, see northern Michigan from a diffferent perspective, go weightless, and I got to fly. The video is put to the song Higher by Creed.

Joshua & The Puppet

I decided to give Joshua a visit from a fireman puppet while Stacey and her dad were looking around a children's bookstore. Joshua's response is so very cute!

Grandma Lovin'

A quick tribute to my mom - the Grandma. This is video of a short visit from my mom. My mother, Stacey and I along with Joshua spent time playing, going to the lake, shopping and just enjoying each others company. Fun Times...

A Visit to Charlevoix

Our close friends Kevin & Angela came up to visit with their three girls; Myah, Haley and Shelby. We had a great time taking walks to the lake, eating great food, and enjoying each others company. One of the best scenes in the video is when Kevin, Myah and Haley are singing and the two girls are trying to walk Jake the dog at the same time. Another example of how Jake is the best dog in the world!

The Reaching Boy

You can't beat the innocence and candor of a little baby boy. I find myself smiling as I watch Joshua reaching for the camera while we made French toast this Sunday morning.

Just Cute

He's pure boy and his mom and dad love loving him. This was just a cute little shot I took at Carters as we looked for some summer clothes for Joshua.

Spring Break Has Sprung

Well here it is. Spring break. Although I am excited for the break and the chance to spend some time with family I must admit that I have had a great past few weeks at school. My students have been so personal and motivated in so many ways. I think it has to do with the fact that it is now the home stretch - there are only about nine weeks left of school and we have spent a lot of time together. I have developed some wonderful relationships with the kids in my classes and have been honored to have some meaningful conversations during and after school about college choices, career choices and best of all - just plain old life choices. Being able to genuinely think out loud with someone and be a mentor for them is one of those Top Ten experiences. This is why teaching is the best job in the world. Authentic relationships are key, and if you let it, the heart of a person is what matters most.
